"Packaging was just okay"
The order showed up on time, so that was good, but the box was, like, a little beat up when it arrived. The item itself was totally fine inside, thankfully. I just kind of wish they had used more padding, especially since it’s camera gear. Not a terrible experience or anything, but yeah, the packaging could definitely be better.

I had a question about my order and just didn’t want to deal with a whole back-and-forth. They answered really quickly, were super nice on the phone, and got everything sorted for me without making it a hassle.

"Felt left in the dark during my return"
I tried to make an exchange, but the whole process dragged on way longer than I expected. I didn’t get much clarity on what was happening or when it would be resolved, so I felt left in the dark. Support wasn’t very helpful either, which made the whole return feel more frustrating than it needed to be.

"Refund was quicker than I expected"
I had to send an item back and figured the refund would probably take a while, just based on past experiences with other places. But Hunts actually processed it quickly once they received the return. There wasn’t any hassle or annoying back-and-forth, which was a nice surprise. Overall, it ended up being a much smoother experience than I expected.

"Warranty help really tested my patience"
I bought some gear here and later needed help with a warranty issue, and it was way more frustrating than it should’ve been. There was a ton of back and forth, replies took forever, and I kept having to repeat the same details like nobody was actually reading the thread. It did get sorted in the end, but only after I was basically forced to be patient for longer than I wanted. Not the smoothest experience, and I’d definitely think twice before buying here again.

"way too pricey for what you get"
i was looking around on Hunt's Photo & Video and the prices just felt a bit high for what you’re getting. i found similar camera gear cheaper on other sites, and there wasn’t really anything about the deal that made me want to pay extra. i ended up leaving without buying anything because it just didn’t feel worth it.

"Everything came just how I ordered it"
I ordered a lens filter and some paper, nothing too complicated, but still, it’s always nice when the box shows up and it’s actually right. No missing pieces, no random wrong item tossed in, just exactly what I picked. The filter was there, the paper was there, and that’s all I needed. Straightforward, but they handled it well.

"Helpful staff, though not perfect"
I had a good experience at the expo overall. The staff were friendly and easy to talk to, which definitely helped things run smoothly. That said, it still felt a little busy and not everything was super clear at first, so I had mixed feelings in the moment. But in the end, the support from the team made a positive difference.

"Finally a trade-in that didn’t feel like a hassle"
I traded in an older camera body with Hunt’s and expected it to be way more annoying, because stuff like this usually turns into some drawn-out mess for me. But it actually went really smoothly. The quote felt fair, shipping was easy, and they kept me in the loop once they received my gear. Payment came through quickly too. No weird surprises, no endless back and forth, which was a relief. I’d definitely use them again

Had a little trouble getting my camera set up the right way, so I reached out to tech support. they were super helpful. Relief. They explained everything in plain English and didn’t make me feel silly for not knowing what I was doing. A few messages later, it was all working. Nice. I’d definitely use them again.

"Heads up before ordering from them"
Just a warning for anyone thinking about ordering here: I bought a used lens because the site said it was in stock, but the next day I got an email saying it actually wasn’t available. That was annoying enough, but then the refund took longer than I expected too.

To be fair, customer service did respond when I reached out, but the answers kept changing, which didn’t exactly make me feel better. Maybe I just had bad luck, but I’d be cautious before buying from them again

I went in looking for help with a lens for my Sony, but the advice I got turned out to be wrong. So yeah, it ended up being a wasted trip, and then I had to deal with returning it too. Not really helpful, honestly.

Shipping was fine overall, but it definitely took longer than I expected. What annoyed me more was that there didn’t seem to be any real human to contact about it, just automated updates, which wasn’t very helpful.

I had a quick question before ordering and they got back to me fast. The answers actually made sense too, not like those canned replies you sometimes get when it feels like nobody really read your message. They also followed up when I needed a small update, which I appreciated. Overall, communication was easy and it seemed like they were actually paying attention

I took one of the photo workshops through Hunt's Photo & Video, and overall it was a decent experience. The instructor definitely knew their stuff, and I came away with a few practical tips I’ll actually use when shooting.
That said, parts of the class felt a little rushed, and some of the material was more beginner-level than I was expecting. If you’re new to photography, I’d say it’s worth checking out, but if you already know the basics, you may want to ask around or look closely at the class description before signing up

"Decent visit, but I expected a bit better"
I stopped by to check out some camera bags and ask a few questions. The store was clean and they had a good selection, but I had to wait longer than I expected before anyone helped me. The staff was polite once I got their attention, so that was fine, but the prices also seemed a little high. Overall it wasn’t a terrible experience, just kind of average. I do feel like a quick apology for the wait would’ve made it a lot better.

I went on the site thinking I could finally get the stuff I wanted, but then it said it was out of stock again. It was frustrating and made me feel a bit misled, like the item was available until I actually tried to get it.

"Used lens was better than I expected"
I picked up a used lens i’m happy with it. It showed up really clean with only a few tiny marks, and so far it’s been working great with no issues. Definitely a nice little surprise
